09.07.2018

Monday, July 9 AXA EWC Secretary , Hedi Ben Sedrine, received at his request Ryo Hosokawa, labor researcher at "Japan Institute for Labor Policy and Training", an agency of the Japanese Ministry of Labor .

Ryo Hosokawa specializes in French legislation. He has previously studied for 5 years the operation of collective agreements and conducted his work in various companies including AXA. Today he starts a work on the restructuring of the company and its social impacts with the negotiations that involve the Management, the unions and the employees.

He wished to meet the interlocutors of the main French unions of AXA. Frédéric Souhard (CFDT), Patricia Nunez (CFE-CGC), Franck Grandmaison (UDPA-UNSA), members of the Board, Laurence Morell-Houli (Social Relations Manager of the UES AXA CS & AXA Matrix France) and Cécile Fron her assistant were invited to answer his questions

After a round table presentation of the various participants, Laurence Morell Houli detailed the effects of Macron orders on social relations in the company, which are only the result of a long process of reforms to transform the dialogue. in the company in France, which is not without upsetting the current union landscape

She points out that the level of social dialogue is very different depending on the size of the company (the latter being the same in Japan). It draws attention to the importance of the level of representativeness of the unions in the company and the possibility of referendums, which is a novelty in the field of French labor law.

Finally, the consequences of the merger of the instances towards an Economic and Social Council, see towards a Council of Enterprise, are clearly explained in session.

The exchanges between the participants were of a high quality and the answers given to the Japanese speaker allowed him to understand to a large extent the new face which will have to be that of the future social dialogue in France, even if everything remains to be built.
