Bureau minutes on 22 April 2020

The monthly meeting of the EWC Bureau was held on 22 April 2020. This meeting should have been held in Luxembourg, the country that was to host the June plenary. Due to the still ongoing epidemic and the health measures still in force throughout Europe, this meeting is again being held at a distance.

Presentation of the group's social data

Stéphane GATINEAU (HR Analysis and Measures Project Manager within the Group HR Department) presents the group's social data, particularly those relating to Europe, as at 31 December 2019.

At the end of this presentation, we note the AXA Group's desire to achieve gender parity among senior executives and in Global Leadership Network positions by 2023.  On this network, parity is currently 34%.

Excluding teleworkers forced to work from home due to the health crisis, 41% of AXA employees in Europe are teleworking under a company agreement.

Presentation of the Business and HR activity in Luxembourg

Marie-Hélène MASSARD (CEO of AXA Luxembourg) presents the activity of AXA in Luxembourg, whose insurance market is mainly based on international Life insurance. Michèle TLOUZEAU (Head of Human Resources at AXA Luxembourg) then gives an update on the social data of the company, whose half of the employees live in France or Belgium.

Update on "raison d'être" project

Thomas PIQUEREL (Head of Communication and Group Commitment) and Caroline GALINIER-WARRAIN (Head of Collective Intelligence and User Experience) present the assessment of the "raison d'être" project.

The aim of this project is to express the "raison d'être" of the insurance business and its relationship with society, to have a meaning for employees and to understand what we are and how to transform ourselves.

Update on Covid19 crisis

Olga KRAVCHENKO (Group HR Operations Director) in charge of crisis management at Covid19 , reports the latest data which are very positive. 40% of the employees affected by Covid 19 have recovered or are in the process of recovering. The IT performance problems on communication tools seem to be resolved. Regarding the return of people to the site, the company remains cautious and will follow the recommendations of the local authorities.

Work of the Secretariat

Pascale Rauline (in charge of CEECs and social dialogue) is planning a survey for the European delegates of the AXA EWC in order to synthesise the important points of the impacts of the health crisis in order to share good practices and to have a visibility on the whole perimeter.

Miscellaneous points

The June plenary meeting in Luxembourg is postponed to June 2021. The plenary will still be held in the distance.
